PG Top 10: Baseball-Football Stars | MLB WAR

The Perfect Game All-American Classic has proven to be the best place to see the best collection of prep talent the summer before those prospects’ draft-eligible year. PG scouts see these prospects more than any other service from the time they start playing in PG events as young as 12 or 13 years old, all the way up through their last trip to Jupiter during the fall of their senior season.

Each season, more and more of those Perfect Game All-Americans make their MLB debuts. There have been 237 of them total throughout the years, with that number going up seemingly weekly this season.

With a change in the new CBA, teams were more willing to bring top prospects with them out of camp, and have been making call-ups as soon as these guys prove they’re ready to make an impact. For many, that was quite quickly.

Upwards of 15 former PG All-Americans either have already debuted this year or are expected to this year. This week’s PG Top 10 ranks those debuts/expected debuts, based on MLB.com prospect rankings heading into this season.
