Zach Peta is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Chanhassen, MN who attends Eden Prairie. He has a tall frame with a lean build that has plenty of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.25 seconds. Primary left-handed pitcher that works from the third base side of the rubber and uses a small side step to start his delivery. He has a knee to belt leg kick and lands slightly closed off. He has a medium arm action and throws with a whippy arm from a 3/4 slot. He worked his fastball to the arm side of the plate and it has some run to it. His changeup was his best off speed pitch and it has nice depth that drops off the table as it gets to the plate. His slider has loose spin with horizontal break. His curveball is a slow breaking ball with 1-7 shape. Secondary outfielder that showed solid actions and fields the ball off his front foot. He throws with a short arm action, fielding and throwing the ball quickly. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base that is slightly open with low hands and a low back elbow. He uses a small toe tap trigger for timing and has an uphill swing patch. He has a rotational swing and showed the ability to make line drive contact. Excellent student.
