Defensively, Matlock is a right-handed shortstop with smooth transfers and plus range. She impressed with her ability to field balls up the middle on the run and still deliver accurate throws to first. Her strong arm and clean footwork paired with her strong back hand, allowing her to field her position at a high level. Her skills no doubt transfer to many positions on defense, making her a true utility.
Offensively, Addison is a right-handed hitter with a strong build and athletic stance. She does a great job utilizing her bottom half. She does have a barrel path that goes out and around the ball, which results in big pull-side power. As she continues to work on staying behind the ball, her spray ability and gap to gap power will continue to grow. She has a solid foundation and a ton of potential.
