Bobby Smithnosky is a 2028 RHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Mt Pleasant, PA who attends Mount Pleasant Area. Lean and wiry build with some well proportioned present strength and more to come. Works from an abbreviated wind up from the first base side, high hand break into a deep arm takeaway and a 3/4's arm slot, repeated his release point well and tunneled his pitches effectively. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with some late sinking action. Curveball was a good pitch with tight spin and late biting action. Flashed a firm change up as well. Good bet to keep improving with strength and physical maturity. 7.34 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, works through the ball with under control actions and accelerates late into his throws, has some arm speed and good carry on his throws, pretty accurate on his throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium stance with a high back elbow load and short stride into contact, stays in his lower half well and accelerates the barrel well with plenty of bat speed, gap to gap approach with feel for the barrel, has two way potential as a hitter. Good student. Named to the Great Lakes Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
