Michael Galmitz is a 2008 RHP/MIF/OF with a 5'8'', 125 lb. frame from Royal Palm Beach, Florida, who attends Berean Christian. Galmitz has a lean build with strength gains to come. On the mound he throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with a loose and whipping arm action. He gets long on the back side and closes his front side early. Galmitz gets life on his fastball that topped out at 77 mph. The pitch gets good arm side run on the inner half of the plate with sinking action when thrown to the outer third. His best pitch was his 71 mph change-up that had good sink and is very deceptive. He maintains his arm speed on the pitch and it is sneaky. Galmitz also mixed in a sweeping slider at 68 mph. He knows how to pitch, and has good upside on the mound. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who hits using a no stride approach. He stays balanced through his swing and is very quiet in the box. He keeps his hands inside the ball well showing the ability to hit to all fields. Galmitz is a good student as well.
