2022 West Academic Showcase (Wed-Thurs)
Jesse Cabrera is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B, IF, OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Theodore Roosevelt. Tall, leaner build with plenty of length to fill out as he continues to grow and mature. Ran a 7.80 in the 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, starts and the belt and works a high leg lift into a three-quarter slot. Fastball showed a mid-70s offering with good command. Goes to a 11-5 breaking ball with late depth and subtle changeup as a pair of solid off-speed pitches. Works well and repeats. Infielder, fields it cleanly on the backhand with good intent in the arm path. Right-handed hitter, loads well into backside with a pull-side approach. Good lift to swing with developing strength as he matures. Very good student.
