2025 PG Softball Iowa Scouting Combine
Blanchard is a right-handed catcher who is very vocal behind the plate. Fielding bunts, she did an excellent job getting around the ball to make an accurate and quick throw to 1st base. When throwing down to second base, Blanchard threw from her knees and really demonstrated getting her body into each throw, landing them at the bag quickly and accurately.
Behind the plate she is athletic and mobile. She has a solid glove, nothing floppy there. She frames well and gets her body behind the ball.
Offensively, Aylais a right-handed hitter who shows good use of her lower half, firing the hips well. She was effective in working inside out and driving the ball hard the other way. She has solid potential and we look forward to watching her develop in the coming seasons.
