Maddy Shannon is a 2024 C/2B, OF from Ames, IA who attends Gilbert. Maddy is not only a solid athlete behind the plate she is a natural leader and vocal catcher behind the plate. Does a great job taking control of the game behind the plate and has a contagious energy. She is a solid catcher behind the plate who does a great job being quick out the box on bunts and moving her feet efficiently around the ball. Best pop time at the combine was a 2.06 and did a good job keeping the ball on a line. Offensively, she is a right handed stand in hitter who generates a good amount of barrel whip and speed. Does a great job utilizing her lower half consistently and has good gap to gap power. Overall Maddy is a great athletic player who has a big upside. Very excited to see what she does in the future as she continue to get better.
