Adam Hochanadel is a 2008 MIF/P with a 5'8'', 140 lb. frame from Columbia, CT who attends East Catholic HS. He has a small frame and limited present strength. Hochanadel hits with a big leg lift trigger to get his swing going and takes a hard, aggressive cut at the ball. The leg lift left his timing a bit behind against many pitches and could be shortened up. Hochanadel has a chopping line drive type of swing with minimal lower half involvment and made mostly middle of the field contact. His aggressiveness was a plus for him and he should keep getting stronger. Defensively, Hochanadel is a second base type whose hands work well and he keeps his feet balanced under him. His arm strength is limited at this point. Hochanadel is a good student.
