2024 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Onix Parson is a 2026 C/3B/OF with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.13 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a physical frame and present strength. Begins from a higher setup behind the dish and uses a quick transfer. Longer arm action and gets serious carry down to second. Big time arm strength and recorded throws up to 82 mph from behind the plate and a 1.90 pop time in workouts. Also worked out in the outfield and showed clean actions and the same big arm strength. Right-handed hitter and starts with a high back elbow and hands. Has strength coming off of the barrel and impacted the ball pull side often duting the round. Creates separation well and can lift the ball with authority. Swings with intent and has significant power upside, recording an exit velocity of 93 mph. Named to the 2024 Preseason High School Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
