Defensively, Nelson is a short stop with a strong arm and has the ability to make plays. She demonstrated a smooth transition when fielding the ball up the middle and made accurate, strong throws. She shows athleticism and the potential to take steps to being elite. With consistency and continuing work on her range, she has a big upside.
Offensively, Livya is a right-handed hitter who showed good use of her lower half. That solid back side fire produced good bat speed,. She also demonstrated the ability to work the ball to all fields by staying on the outside pitch very well. She hit her extension well and has a lot of offensive potential. If she continues her growth, she is on a solid path to the next level.
