Cale Lichtenberg is a 2029 RHP/IF/OF with a 5-10 163 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit. Compact build with some present strength. Works from an abbreviated wind up with a belt high leg raise and a short stride down the mound, repeats his mechanics and release well. Fastball topped out at 86 mph early with four-seam carry up in the zone, also threw a two-seam sinker in the low 80's with good sinking life. Upper 60's slider had good spin and some depth, had feel for the breaking ball and landed it for strikes. Flashed a change up that has potential. Mixes his pitches well and has an idea what he's doing on the mound. 7.65 runner in the sixty. Worked out in both the infield and outfield and showed his arm strength well, profiles as a third baseman as he matures. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread and open stance with a deep hand load, small leg raise trigger, rotational swing mechanics, flashes some strength at contact, mostly middle of the field contact. Very good student.
