Alexander Villanueva is a 2023 C/1B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Haines City, FL who attends Jose Collazo Colon. Shorter and proportioned build with a young look that has room to fill out. Ran a 7.80 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, relaxed in his set up with good hip mobility. Gets his feet on the ground quickly to help release consistently out front. On-line throws during pops. A right-handed hitter, starts balanced with his base using his strong core to create a pretty effortless turn to the ball with a good hand path to contact.
