Bobby Filler is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Philadelphia, PA who attends Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. Recorded a 5.26 forty-yard dash time. Medium, high-waisted frame with broad shoulders and plenty of time to add strength. Primary outfielder, aggressive footwork into the process, fielding slightly deeper with two hands, while maintaining momentum into a small crow-hop. Displayed fairly accurate and online throws up to 78 mph from a three-quarters arm slot during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Deliberate paced delivery with belt high leg lift, drop and drive lower half mechanics down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the most part, topping out at 76 mph from a higher three quarters arm slot. Developing command within the strike zone, while also mixing in a well-tunneled curveball that had 12-6 shape and some gradual depth to it. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even based stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and quick leg lift trigger. Incorporates slight downward crouch and inward stride direction to get to launch, occasionally causing his front side to be blocked off. Contact oriented stroke with fairly consistent bat-to-ball skills, flatter swing path and some present bat speed. Middle-of-the field approach with ability to manipulate the barrel well, impacting the baseball best to the middle and opposite fields. Will continue to improve in all facets of the game with minor refinements mechanically and additional strength. Excellent Student.
