Gerardo Prado is a 2023 SS/OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Ran a 7.11 second sixty. Primary short stop with a long lena build that projects well moving forward. On the infield showed big time arm strength with a big gather into throws after receiving the ball out front with confidence in the hands as he comes through it. In the outfield the actions are more aggressive coming to get the ball and carrying the momentum into the throws with with a long shuffle showing the same arm strength on the throws topping out at 90 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base creating simple separation with the load and stride. The top hand stays strong through contact with good intent to the swing staying level through contact and impacting baseballs hard to all fields. Good student. Named to the 2022 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Top Prospect List.
