Jean Carlos Cortes Negron is a 2023 SS/RHP, OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Toa Baja, PR who attends El Shaddai Christian Academy. Lean, projectable build with lots of leanness to frame that can continue to fill out. Ran a 7.23 in the 60-yard dash. Outfielder, showed one of the more promising rounds with big arm strength that carried to the bag. Throws were crisp and remained on plane to the bag. Funneled well and showed athletic actions. Right-handed hitter, even base and hand load with a left leg trigger. Turns the barrel over with present bat speed and quick hands. Works it out front and incorporates lower half well. Showed loud contact to the pull side and the athleticism really shows. Loud two-way potential. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
