2021 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Michael Matsi is a 2023 OF/2B with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Liberty. Wiry frame. 7.16 60-yd. Caught the ball cleanly in the outfield. Approached the ball fairly well with the ability to catch it on the side consistently. Flashed quick arm action with a short arm path. Utilizes a narrow, open stance at the plate with his hands shoulder high. The bat path remain linear throughout the swing with flashes of the ability to use the entire field. Adding more strength to the frame will be key to drive the ball with more authority consistently. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
