Sam Wilkinson is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Memphis, TN who attends Christian Brothers. Athletic build with good present strength, especially in his lower half. Left handed hitter, sets up in a deep and low hand load with a toe tap trigger, aggressive move into contact, has quick hands and some strength in his barrel, swung very well in the games and showed his power potential. 7.33 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has athletic actions to the ball, fields cleanly to the side, makes accurate one-hop throws, lower arm slot creates some tail. Showed his athleticism well at first base, solid lower half actions, can change his arm slots and make accurate throws. Has some potential on the mound, works with a high leg raise over the rubber and gets into his strong lower half well coming down the mound. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with some running life and the ability to locate to both sides of the plate, velocity projects well. Landed his slider well with some sweeping depth, can be tightened up some as he gets more experience on the mound. Good student.
