Jaylen Jones is a 2027 SS/2B with a 5-1 95 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Atascocita. He has a small frame with plenty of physical maturation left ahead of him. Ran the sixty yard dash in 8.51 seconds. Primary shortstop that showed the ability to move to both sides of his body efficiently. He works himself into a good fielding position and funnels the ball into his body. He showed nice feel for the glove and throws the ball with long arm arm action. Right-handed hitter that starts in a narrow base with high hands and a high back elbow. He has a level swing through the zone and was able to make contact to all parts of the field. Physical development will enable him to hit the ball harder and carry his line drives into the gaps as he already has a line drive approach. His swing is rotational and could get more power by utilizing his lower half more.
