Brendan Cassidy is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from San Rafael, CA who attends Marin Catholic. Taller and wiry frame that projects well as he matures. Ran a 7.50 in the sixty yard dash. A primary pitcher, short athletic movements to get to balance with a high leg lift and a compact arm circle and 3/4 release. He threw both a four and two seam fastball with the two seamer having running action. The change up had fade and similar arm speed to the fastball while the curveball had 1-7 shape, he located both to the corners. Good feel for all offerings and kept the ball low. Cassidy worked out at both first base and the outfield. He works low on the dirt with good glove placement and soft hands. In the out field he worked through the ball with fluid footwork and confidence. A left-handed hitter, starts balanced and in line with his base using a small stride. Keeps his hands on top of the ball looking to create back spin. Maintained a middle to opposite field approach. Good student.
