James Slaughter is a 2021 OF/ with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Madison, AL who attends Madison Academy. He showed good speed with a 6.83 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a long slender build, still shows room to fill on the frame moving forward. In the outfield he works to the ball with a sense of urgency fielding it off his left foot, he made accurate throws with developing arm strength form a short arm action and high release. At the plate, his right-handed swing starts with a narrow upright stance, the hands work to the inside part of the ball with a compact stroke, has some hands speed in the swing with potential for better jump off the barrel with more extension at the point of contact.
