Kyle Capece is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Gross Catholic. Medium frame with a thick and stocky build. Primary left-handed pitcher, starts angled on the mound and utilizes a compact delivery. Keeps everything tight and repeats the operation well. Shows a big bender with 1/7 shape and plenty of vertical drop and late bite. Clean operation overall, has a long arm action through the back and comes from a high three-quarters slot. Curveball will get more horizontal at times, it's a great pitch for him as he has good feel for it and can land it for strikes. Repeats the delivery well and works quick, put together efficient innings. Left-handed hitter with a high back elbow set and tall stance, utilizes a small leg lift trigger. Shows a pull side approach, arms are a bit stiff, flies open and drags the barrel at times, will improve as he gets more comfortable with his timing. Smooth hand load, uses the lower half well and can produce solid contact on inner third pitches. Good student.
