Andrew Clements is a 2022 1B/LHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Greenville, IN who attends New Albany. Thick and strong build. Left handed hitter, has a short and direct swing with good hand use, straight stance with limited lower half shift into contact, looks to pull the ball and has plenty of leverage in his swing, plenty of future power potential. 7.79 runner in the sixty, has sound defensive actions at first base defensively, fields the ball out front with clean soft hands and has a quick release on his throws. Also pitched, compact arm action with limited extension out front. Threw strikes with a low 70's fastball and had an idea how to change speeds and locate his pitches. Key to his development will be to continue to work hard to improve his athleticism and strength, has hitting ability that could blossom. Good student.
