2023 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Alexander Gonzalez is a 2026 C/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Felix Varela. A taller frame and medium build with some strength to it. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Primary catcher who had a higher setup behind the dish. He was pretty quick working out of the crouch with his catch-and-throw. Showed a longer arm action with good arm strength, showing throws at 76 mph down to second. Produced a 1.96 pop time during his round of throws down to second. A right-handed hitter with a spread stance and open base, with pre-set hands. A calmer shift of the weight to load. He turns hard through contact with a slightly upward path. He showed some strength with some bat speed to pair. Worked to the middle of the field for the most part. Loose extension and had some jump off the barrel. Produced an 83 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Great student. Named to 2023 PG Main Event TP List.
