2021 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Nick Giardino is a 2022 SS/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from East Meadow, NY who attends Clarke. Recorded a 4.88 second forty-yard dash time. Medium, compact frame with some bounce to his step and room to add strength. Primary infielder with good lateral range to either side, clean glove actions and the ability to throw from multiple arm angles. Works downhill through the baseball, funneling cleanly out in front and working into a quick release. Recorded developing arm strength up to 76 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with an exaggerated high hand set, high back elbow and inward stride to get to launch. Middle-to-opposite field approach with inside-out swing path and slight downhill barrel plane. Showed developing feel for the barrel and some adjustability on the inner-half. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
