Christian Sikiric is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from New Hyde Park, NY who attends Chaminade. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned well throughout. Primary righthanded pitcher, deliberate tempo to delivery, higher leg lift up past belt, shorter stride down the mound and can continue to incorporate additional lower half; longer arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, works on top of the ball well and mostly true in life, maintains velocity out of stretch and gets ground ball contact. Will continue to develop consistent release, curveball best when showing 12-6 shape with depth up to 70 mph. Fields position well. Carry on throws from first base when working on top, developing footwork off the bag, fields the ball closer to body. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; starts with hands pulled back, short leg lift trigger for timing, upper body dominant swing. Keeps hands inside the ball, shorter path through the zone with short finish through point of contact, can incorporate additional extension out front. Very good student.
