Freddy Rath is a 2022 LHP/ with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Jefferson. Medium, athletic frame with room to fill out. Left-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Deliberate paced delivery with belt high leg lift, shorter stride out to foot strike and slight stab on the backside of the arm stroke. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for most of his outing, topping out at 81 mph from a high, extended three-quarters arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone that will improve with minor refinements of his mechanics and quicker pace. Mixed in tight curveball that flashes good spin traits when thrown with conviction. Tough competitor that battled throughout his outing, flashing good present arm strength and some components. Has plenty of projection remaining from both a physical and velocity standpoint, will continue to improve with additional strength and maturity. Good Student.
