2022 Summer Midwest Workout Showcase (July 7)
Andrew Pyszka is a 2023 SS/3B, MIF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Granville, IL who attends Putnam County. He has a good frame with present strength and a high waist. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.91 seconds. Primary short stop that that uses a prep step when fielding. He does a nice job of staying low to the ground when fielding and throwing. He has clean footwork and works through the ball nicely. He has a good feel for the glove with soft hands and quick transfers. He made strong, accurate throws from a low arm slot, throwing it 82 mph across the infield. Right-handed hitter that starts with a wider base and uses a leg kick trigger for timing. He does a nice ob of loading his hands back and creating separation with his upper half. He showed plenty of explosiveness with his lower half, firing his hips through the swing well. He has an easy swing and works a gap-to-gap approach at the plate. Named to the Summer Midwest Workout Showcase (July 7) Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
