Colin Hacker is a 2006 third baseman from Conifer, Colorado, with a 5'9", 162 lb. frame. Defensively, Hacker has some arm strength with solid actions and turns the double play well with quick feet and transfers. There is some position flexibility with Hacker and he showed he can handle either 3B or 2B. He hits from an open stance with good bat speed. Too much hand movement causes him to make inconsistent contact though. However, with his bat speed, line drive swing plane, and good knowledge of the strike zone, Hacker has the ability to improve his hitting in a short time. He plays the game hard and he is a very good student as well.
