Jordan Martinez is a 2024 C/RHP with a 6-0 172 lb. frame from Panama City, FL who attends A. Crawford Mosley. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set up behind the plate during drills, receives he ball out front with two hands, fuller arm action with arm strength down to second base, gains some ground with lower half, stays tall through actions. Also pitched, clean delivery on the mound with ease and looseness, quick arm through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, fills the strike zone and generates downhill plane to it with occasional riding action up in the zone. Curveball shows tight spin with late biting life up to 68 mph and turned over a changeup very well also with diving life up to 73 mph. Nice potential on the mound. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a hover leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Generates some whip to the barrel through the zone and shows strength in hands, creates contact out front and shows lift to swing path at point of contact. Can generate carry off the barrel to the opposite field, power projects moving forward. Excellent student.
