Wyatt Rath is a 2027 C/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Tuscaloosa, AL who attends Northridge. Big and strong build. Ran a 7.33 60-yard dash. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium stance with an open front side and a high hand load, short stride into contact, has present bat speed and can turn the barrel over, swings hard and is looking to drive the ball, can get it in the air to pull with a consistency, will drift in at times, natural leverage with a lifted finish. Hit a no-doubt homerun in game action and handled the barrel well all weekend. Primary catcher, quick exchange, clean out of the glove, good direction, stays low, developing arm strength, solid times with room to really improve once more arm strength comes into the picture. Potential to be a power backstop if it all breaks right moving forward. Very good student. Named to the Perfect Game Fall Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
