Matthew Echevarria is a 2025 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Westminster Christian. Athletic build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Primary outfielder, came to the ball well, consistently fielded the ball out in front. Showed the ability to transition into his throws well. Has a longer arm action, made firm accurate throws, was clocked up to 73 mph on throws from the infield. Displayed good actions with some stiffness but will loosen up as he gets more flexible. From the mound, throws from a three-quarter arm slot, threw a lot of strikes and attacked hitters early. The fastball sat 65-72 mph paired with a 12-6 tight spin curveball with good depth. At the plate, hits from a balanced open stance with a toe tap stride and high back elbow. Hit the ball hard on a line to his pullside. Good student.
