Steven Hardiman is a 2022 LHP/OF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from N Massapequa, NY who attends Kellenberg Memorial. Recorded a 5.41 second 40-yd dash time. Medium frame with slender build and plenty of room to fill out. Primary left-handed pitcher with a high three-quarters arm slot. Deceptive delivery with hunched gather, extended glove side and cross-fire landing. Hides the ball well, commanding both sides of the plate with natural arm-side run to his fastball and cutter that flashes hard life to the inner half of the plate. Fastball worked in the 75-77 mph range with projection for more velocity, with cutter topping out at 72 mph. Curveball shows nice 12-to-6 shape with sharp, late bite at 64 mph. Secondary outfielder with deliberate actions during and through the fielding process. Proved ability to repeat well, showing developing arm strength up to 77 mph. Left-handed hitter with a slightly open stance, low hand set and toe tap trigger. Pull-side approach with pre-loaded backside, slight wrap into launch and compact bat speed. Will improve with proper swing adjustments and added strength. Nice upside on the mound. Excellent Student
