Brian Pham is a 2022 RHP with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from El Segundo, CA who attends El Segundo. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Right-handed pitcher, simple set of mechanics on the mound, quick turn step into a lower leg lift just beneath belt, quick and short hip turn prior to coming down the mound. Incorporates lower half well coming down the mound, full arm action through the back with quickness working to a higher three-quarters release point, gets extended out front. Fastball topped out at 88 mph and worked in the mid-80s, maintained velocity well, generates downward plane when working on top of the ball, comes out of hand well. Mixed a slider up to 77 mph with short shape, maintains arm speed well on the pitch, went to it often and used as a put away pitch. Punched out 10 during his time on mound, missing plenty of bats. Excellent student.
