Colin Marinpetro is a 2022 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Imperial, PA who attends West Allegheny. Extra tall and projectable prospect with a ton of room to add good weight. Ran a 7.21 in the sixty yard dash. A primary first baseman, squares the ball up and looks it in during his funnel, short arm action and feel to make accurate throws to the bases. A left-handed hitter, starts wide and open with a high hand set. Uses a toe tap trigger and has a long and power full swing through the hitting zone, with an all fields approach and big power potential as he learns to add space out front. A secondary pitcher, worked exclusively from the stretch and has powerful lower half. OTT release with some arm side run on the fastball with obvious plane. Solid delivery that will continue to develop as he adds strength. CB/CU show promise as well as he throws them with intent. Very good student.
