Isaiah Malison is a 2022 RHP/1B with a 6-8 240 lb. frame from Milwaukee, WI who attends Thomas More. Recorded an 8.13 in the 60-yard dash. The primary right-handed pitcher with a tall, strong frame has a full windup and a short side step into a high leg kick as he rides the backside very well with good extension and lateral movement to the plate from a three-quarter arm slot. Malison creates good downhill action on his fastball that has late arm side run and keeps the ball down in the zone as he tops 80 mph with a developing release point for the breaking ball. Also taking groundballs at first base showcasing good footwork and a good feel for the glove with clean turns throwing 79 mph to the bases. The right-handed hitter steps into the box with a slightly open, spread stance and a short, clean stride. He generates good hip rotation, has quick hands, and demonstrates good bat speed while striking the ball very well with good power and generating lift as he works the ball gap-to-gap. Great student.
