2022 PG Softball Winter Scouting Combine - Iowa
Madison Taeger is a 5-foot-5, class of 2024 2B/3B, SS, OF from Burlington, IA who attends Burlington HS. Madison is an emerging player who has a solid fundamental foundation that should allow her to continue growing her game as she moves through her last three HS and travel ball years. In addition to her evolving abilities on the diamond, Madison is also an accomplished student in the classroom. She ran a 6.00 40-yard dash and was timed at 4.00 from home to first. She also posted a 5'9 standing broad jump. A primary MIF, Madison is noticeably athletic and has a sure and certain set-up. She moves quickly to position and field. She shows soft hands and fluid and consistent glove work. Her fielding range is noteworthy. Her arm action has some length and is impressively strong. Her throws were consistently clocked at 61-mph and were firm, held their plane, and were routinely accurate. At the plate, Madison shows great effort and has an operation that should allow her to be a projectable hitter moving forward. She handles the short game well and appears to be a confident bunter. She is an aggressive strider and triggers with force. There is steepness to her swing plane and when on time and on path, she can impact the ball. She did flash some natural raw power. Madison has a sound game now. With added strength and agility, attention to detail concerning continued improvement on the fundamentals, and exposure to higher levels of competition, Madison should have the opportunity to progress to the next level. Her positive body language and noticeable passion for the sport is palpable. Promising future.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
