Donald Sho Garcia is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Newport Beach, CA who attends Crean Lutheran. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, does a nice job of staying low on approach to the ball, can refine overall mechanics in lower half, compact arm action on throws across, occasionally under the ball at release, shows carry on throws across. Also pitched, higher leg lift and gets tall on backside, compact arm action with a tight three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, mostly true in life, shows some riding action up in the zone to make for uncomfortable swings, occasionally opens front side early. Showed an 11-5 shaped curveball from similar release point, comfort spinning and shows depth on the pitch. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a lower hand set at the plate. Subtle shift in lower half moving into contact, contact oriented approach with a linear swing path, comfort working to the middle of the field, shows some carry when squared, can work to all fields, bat speed will continue to develop with added physical strength.
