Brady Maylett is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 6-5 210 lb. frame from South Jordan, UT who attends Bingham. Primary left-handed pitcher with a strong frame and build with present strength in the lower half. Works out of the windup with good control and command of a pair of pitches. Uses the lower half and lands on a soft front leg. Has developing arm speed, running the fastball up to 84 miles per hour and settling in at 80-83. Works well to both sides of the plate and shows advanced feel to spin a big, sweeping slider in the low-70s. The slider shows well often and could develop into an even better pitch later on. Creates some deception in the delivery to keep hitters off-balance. Secondary first baseman that shows developing glove actions and fields out front. Shows similar arm strength to the mound up to 80 miles per hour. Left-handed hitter with a simple load and line drive barrel plane. Shows the ability to impact the ball when squared and flashes some quickness in the hands. Developing extension at the point of contact and will hit for more power with some swing refinements.
