Darwin Vargas is a 2026 C/IF/OF with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Coral Reef Senior. A lean frame with room to keep adding strength into his frame. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Worked out as an infielder, with a clean transfer and good release. The footwork was solid and kept him moving well through the ball. Also worked out as a catcher, throwing 74 mph down to the bag and producing a 2.00 POP time. A right-handed hitter with a high-hand set and high back elbow. Starts with a spread stance and some tilt in the barrel. Gets through the zone and produced opposite field contact, getting the ball out to work the opposite field.
