Ethan Smetheram is a 2022 OF/MIF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Auburn, WA who attends Auburn. Slender young athletic build. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with closed off front side, leg lift trigger that is well balanced and timed, inside hand path, short to the ball but lacks extension through contact, downhill barrel plane. 7.60 runner, works aggressively through the ball in the outfield with good footwork through the ball, tends to throw uphill, developing arm strength. Also plays the infield, works low through the ball with a good funnel out front, compact 3/4's arm action, second base arm strength and actions. Good student.
