Steve Hodgins is a 2009 IF with a 5'8", 158 lb frame from Keego Harbor who attends Brother Rice HS. Steve has a lean athletic build that projects well in the future. At the plate Steve has good raw hitting tools with good hands and a nice balanced approach. He gets too long at times often making him a dead pull hitter. Once he shortens up and gets stronger he has enough of an idea to become a solid college prospect. In the field Steve has very polished infield actions with smooth hands and good footwork. He is a gamer that knows how to play the game and could project at any infield position. Steve is a solid student that should be a solid mid to high level college prospect.
