Jacob Thurber is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Alabaster, AL who attends Thompson HS. Recorded a 7.30 second 60-yard dash time. Large and physical build with some well-proportioned strength and room for more. Primary right-handed pitcher with a small rocker into a leg lift at the belt. High front lever and generates some deception. Shorter stride and works low in the strike zone. Life on the fastball out of the hand and topped out at 79 mph. Shorter slider that functions more as a cutter along with a forkball that the bottom fell out of at times. Arm strength plays from secondary position of outfield. Right-handed hitter with a longer stroke and some hand speed. Wrapped start with a spread open stance. Flashed some strength when extended out in front. Tremendous student.
