Ben Farrell is a 2020 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Lancaster, NY who attends Lancaster High School. Showcased a medium frame with a very lean, athletic build. Projectable body type with room to fill in the future. Ran a 6.93 second sixty yard dash. Primary Lefthanded pitcher working into a smooth rocker step and high leg lift. Slight pause at the top of leg kick. Delivering from a low three-quarters proving to be crafty. Free and easy arm action. Generates velocity form core and upper half. Fastball showed late life topping out at 83 mph as he spotted it up with ease. Went right after hitters. Great pick off move with a quick step off and flick over to firstbase. Secondary Outfielder showing clean routes to the baseball. Loose arm with full windup into throws. Low three-quarter release. Fast transfer with online throws. Lefthanded hitter starting from a balanced stance with a toe tap and stride. Weight on heels a bit while showing he could create separation. Getting bat head out front with ease. Pull side type approach. Lead off type bat while being quick out of the box. Good Student. Named to Southeast Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
