Trent Vest is a 2021 SS/2B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Florence, KY who attends Boone County. Athletic frame with a lean build. Projects for additional strength. Primary shortstop with clean footwork while working through the baseball. Fluid glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Flashed solid range to each side. Released from a three-quarters arm slot creating accurate, on line carry to the bag at 76 mph. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Deeper hand load and worked to contact on an extended path. Utilized a line drive barrel plane while employing a mid field approach. Showed developing feel for the barrel with occasional jump to the gaps when squared. Good student.
