Jason Bishop is a 2021 C with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Bellevue, NE who attends Bellevue East. Strong, athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.34 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Employs a side saddle stance with confident receiving actions. Displayed clean footwork gaining ground to second base well. Flashed quick transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to second base topping out at 74 mph and posting a 2,07 second pop time. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a short leg lift trigger. Uses a middle of the field approach looking to drive line drives back up the middle of the field. Showed good barrel control creating consistently driven line drives to the middle and opposite fields when on time.
