Julius Hernandez is a 2023 OF/UT with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from San Sebastian, PR who attends Albergue Olímpico Baseball Academy. Medium frame with a lean and very athletic build. Ran a 6.64 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, athletic fundamental actions working to the ball, funnels it cleanly and works through it well, repeats clean process and shows good arm strength on throws clocked up to 84 mph to bags. Also pitched, pounded the zone with two pitches showing a fastball into the upper-70s and feel for a bigger curveball. Right-handed hitter, sets up spread and works simple to contact; shifts his weight well and torques hard in his swing, gets to a good contact point with his hands and uses the strength in his wrists to drive through the ball and produce line drive contact to all parts of the field. Good student. Named to 2021 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.
