Ty Uchman is a 2023 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Grand Rapids, MI who attends Forest Hills Northern. Long and slender athletic build, outstanding physical projection. Primary left handed pitcher with two-way potential. Long and athletic delivery on the mound, side step start with a high leg lift, long stride down the mound, high 3/4's arm slot. Steady upper 70's fastball with good running life, plenty more velocity there with additional strength. Has good spin on a sweeping curveball. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a well timed shift into contact, hands work well through the ball and he shows some present bat speed and jump off the barrel. Loose and projectable athletic actions at both first base and in the outfield. Just waiting for his next growth spurt for some strength to kick in and he'll take the next step as a prospect.
