Jean Carlos Garcia-Chicano is a 2024 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends St. Brendan. Tall, athletic look and stands out from a physical standpoint. Great runner, ran a 6.75 60-yard dash. Right-handed hitter, even base with a slightly open front side in the stance and high hands, short and simple swing with good bat speed and it comes off easy to both gaps. Present power to pull, routinely got the barrel extended throughout the event. Performed well in game-action. Primary shortstop, easy range to both sides, glove works well out front with fluid footwork getting around the ball. Good arm strength across the diamond, low-effort look to the round, recorded throws up to 86 mph. Great student. Named to 2023 Fall Top Prospect National Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
