Donovan Boyle is a 2021 RHP/C/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Leesville Road. Larger frame with a lean build showing a high waist as well. Projectable build with some room to fill down the road. Ran a 8.19 second sixty yard dash. Primary Righthanded pitcher utilizing his size to its full potential as he got extended down the mound. Longer arm circle in the back before delivering from a high three-quarter arm slot. Looked to work the outer half of the baseball and did so later in his outing. His fastball showed downward plane as he ran it up to 79 MPH. Did a good job of mixing up pitches as he worked in a slurvy curveball and changeup that he proved he had command of. Fields his position well and worked quickly, keeping his defense in the game. Secondary Catcher starting from a side saddle. Longer windup and release down to second with an uphill release. Righthanded hitter starting from a balanced stance. Keeps weight on backside before showing plus bat speed. Keeps hands inside the baseball as he looks to lift it. Pull-side approach. Good Student.
